The Golden Ticket.

I started wearing glasses when I was four, when I started school. I hated them!
I remembered when my Mum took us to a new Church when I was 14 and there was a lovely lad there, he didn’t know that I had my eyes on him….., not four eyes, but two, I decided not to wear my glasses to Church. But eventually I had to start wearing them there.
When I was about 19, I decided to accept my glasses, as they got nicer, I remember having silver-coloured frames. I love silver, and gray and when I was 19 for one whole year, I wore one colour only and that was gray with silver jewellery. I only stopped wearing gray, as my Mum begged me to wear different colours. Today gray and silver, they are both my favourite colours in clothes and jewellery.
Last month I had my eyes tested, I had two pairs, one of them is a prescribed sun-glasses. The sun-glasses came in very handy for the lots of sun that we have had here in England.
When I finished paying for them, I was given a Golden Ticket. I was informed, “You can use it for yourself and get 50% off or give it so someone else and they can get 25% off.” I thought, I would not need it, and meant to throw it away.
But, as I was mainly wearing my fabulous, trendy sun-glasses, in the process I lost my normal new glasses. I had planned to take them back, as they were hurting behind my ears. I have looked everywhere for them. Last Sunday, I had to wear my sun-glasses to church and then to work afterwards, I felt very self-conscious, at Church, like I was hiding a black eye! And I never wear sun-glasses indoors, only celebs to that.
So today, I rang the opticians and said, “I had my eyes tested recently and now I have lost my new glasses, can I use my Golden Ticket to get another one, at half price?” She replied, “Yes.”
My appointment is Monday. When I told Paul he said, “You will find them on Tuesday.”

Funny!
Funny hey Max?! I have you 100% One thing you mustn't lose is your glasses especially when your eyes are th'at bad as yours! You will never find them again- and without telling the future now! Or without another pair at least, once I thought I could, gave up on that very quickly. Almost, blind as a bat.
Don't drive your car, don't write your exams watch where you step ... you will have to tell your parents sooner or later. Why do kids always believe spectacles make you look ugly? where I came from it was a status symbol, you were dignified and important and proved of very high intelligence.
I've always wondered which were worse, some make your eyes small, those that make your eyes look big to me are the more weird. But yours must be incredibly sensitive to light?
The modern conveniences just make life so much the easier. Imagine going through life half-blind instead. My mom said she was totally surprised getting her first pair she always thought things were all just like that just a bit fuzzy around the edges.
