Seeking earthly treasure,
status, ease and leisure
brings no lasting pleasure,
blessings without measure.

Seeking first God’s kingdom
righteousness and wisdom
trusting for the outcome –
Father’s care, provision.

Let the Lord be choosing:
life is not for cruising,
pleasing self, amusing,
thus the best things losing.

Jesus always seeking,
trusting, and obeying:
treasure stored is waiting,
eternal life unending.

Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things [daily needs] will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
