History is hard to learn when those who knew are dead.

History is hard to learn when the books cannot be read.

History is hard to learn when the words themselves are removed.

there's lots of non-readers out there. Many or most in power.

I think the greater problem seems to be the media and establishment's ignorance of the storytellers. Years of history has been lost because of bigotry and it's seemingly destined to happen again because judgement has fallen and so too have the people; from favour and public life, we're being forced back into the shadows.

A time will come when we will all need to do what we should have done from the start: Sit down and talk. Right now, we're ready to talk but no-one cares to listen.

You make your point very well! We're gone back to when there was no knowledge about anything and people chose what to believe, even myths. Uncomfortable truths pillowed under by confident lies.

I think it's the greatest shame that their 'confident lies' are just infinitely recyclable bigotry that has never had any relevance to anything it has been applied to; it continues to the fact that a mere second long search would tear that pillow from under them and reveal the truth. The 'statistics' of these people are as much a fallacy as the strawmen they create to peddle them.
