I love a lady called the Autumn;
her eyes are Perseus and the Plough;
her dark hair, dancing clouds of starlings;
her kisses fall from maple boughs.
With burning lips of amber, gold
saffron and scarlet I am kissed;
making me warm midst Autumn’s cold
and dreamy eyed like Autumn mists.
