I was searching high and low

from Mount Gibraltar to Wingello

asking people that I knew

in Moss Vale and Burradoo

and some nice people in Bong Bong

and some more in Mittagong ,

but nobody seemed to know where it had gone .

 

Looking out for Christmas everywhere

From The Abbey home to Manchester Square

In Bowral and Exeter , to Bundanoon ,

Het there ,

has anybody got some time to spare  ,

because I’m looking out for Christmas everywhere.

Yes  I’m looking out for Christmas everywhere .

 

I was looking out for Christmas,

Some peace and gentleness .

The friendliness of Santa Claus

Something that was , as far as I can see,

it will always be part of the wonder of Christmas .

 

Looking out for Christmas everyday.

What can I say ,

it happened suddenly ,  Christmas had found me

right there beside a family Christmas tree .

It won’t be long til Christmas comes along .

Open up your eyes and see people in front of you .

family and friends are not so far away .

Its in your heart , its what you feel .

That makes the happiness of Christmas come to stay .
