Come girl

Come girl, and let us look at your black eyes full of wonder,
That throw those fiery flames out as if they were alight.
And if they grab my poor heart and tear it all asunder,
Just tend to me, my lovely, my lovely, and let me nurse it right.
But if by chance I burn up and I become an ember,
Then cast me in your garden, just put me there or here.
Because from your sweet glances, from one day to another,
There is a chance I'll sprout up, my lovely, so I can find some cheer.
And as my roots go deep and I grow tall and I flower,
And reach out with my branches, please come on down below.
The beauty of my petals, on you from high I'll shower,
All for that honey sweetness, my lovely, of your two eyes aglow.
