The Step

The door is open - all it takes is a step
But many loose the courage to move on
And in the years to follow talk of if
And what I would have done if I had been

Do not be one of those, but live you life
As if you could not lose no matter what
And that God and all His angels are your guides
Through this many pathed, and often twisting life

Be strong and take that step while others falter
For only you can be blamed for stopping
When you could have succeeded in your quest
And be the one who holds the Grail up high

So lift your head, and listen not to those who want to be
But show them all what it is to be
And what it is to be what you should be
Despite the many admonishers, and stalwarts

Be as the light and hit your goal with force and pure energy
And stay true to all that is you
And no one will ever destroy you
