Cats

I still recall the day that I
Brought home my two new cats
Not thinking then that three years on
These two would drive me bats.
Come summer time they leave
Their fleas and fur about the place
And you're unable now to scold
That sweet appealilng face.
Come dinner time, a plaintiff meaow
And anxious eyes look on
Then louder grows their whinging song
Until their dinner's done.
The Surgery across the way
Is now my second home
For my two cats have found in turn
A way to bruise a bone.
Expensive, no exhorbitant
Is how I find my cats
With biscuits here and vet bills there
And other this and thats.
I now compare my bilsl and find
My car's cheaper to run
But then a car upon my lap
Just really isn't done.
And so I sigh and come to terms
That this is really it,
Is this because I'm very kind
Or am I just a twit?
