Pray for me (anonymous)
I am lonely and I need someone to love;
I am cased in wax like
a saint with a barely-defined face,
my miracle tears invisible - see them, please.

I live in a little place
and perhaps that's what makes my life small,
small shops, doll's clothes,
a shoebox of accumulating tiny things.

They say God is great,
more than that, God is big,
God is love and can't I have some?
I'm asking simply and nicely.

My voice is notes pinned to walls
to intrude upon you if you choose to see them;
my shout is flyposted blank around the city
where people spark off against one another,
it's just that I will not catch.
