19.14 pm. Yesterday and today. Well I got up late and this day has
been a bit random to say the least.
Yesterday (02) I got up at 6.15 am in the knowledge that tomorrow (03)
I could get up later. I fed the cats and listened to some cd or other
(I cannot remember). Then I went to work. Noddy Holder singing and no
time for my can of Sprite. I spend most of the time between being awake
and getting into work, trying to cram as much as possible in. I recall
I used to wake up and got to work, but now there are so many things I
do. I messaged Erin, earlier this time as the train flashed by Laindon.
It even waited for me this morning.
I spent the morning moving rubbish from one place to another in the
need to create more space in the office I work in. I did the tapes and
read Erin's email. Its nice to have email to read, and I don't mean the
stuff that everyone gets like newsletters and the usual stuff that such
and such will be unavailable at lunchtime.
At lunchtime I shot out of the office and rang Erin, but she didnt
answer, then she called me. We had a chat and I stood in one of my
favourite places to talk. It was a shorter chat because she wanted to
do some shopping. I went in HMV and bought some more CDs, then bought
my lunch in Starbucks. The coffee was off so I got a fresh one. Then I
remembered I hadn't got the Red Hot Chilli Peppers album, so I bought
that as well.
In the afternoon I waited for forty minutes for someone to finish a
phone call before I could show them the new remote access setup on
their laptop. Then I went back to the office, just as my boss was
leaving.
I got the train home and sat there listening to CDs and changing them
and listening to others, using the laptop I had spent all afternoon
charging up specially.
I got in. My wife went out to her sisters and then later on went to a
local restaurant for a night out with her friends from the gym. I went
online and had a misunderstanding with Erin, I thought she wasnt there,
but she was, and I got a bit upset, and read the forums which didnt
help, but I stopped just in time. Then I tried again, and she was
there, and I was smiling, and I wanted to ring here there and then. So
she said ok. So we talked for an hour. Halfway through I said I wanted
to play her a song, so set the mobile phone down and sang Slow Down
using the acoustic (which has new strings). We chatted about lots of
things, I had been doing another tape of different stuff. Then we went
on chat again, and spent the rest of the evening talking. People don't
understand how Erin and I can spend so long chatting. We talk about
lots of things. We just do, cant define it, cant figure it out but we
do.
Then I picked my wife up in the car and she said had drunk most of a
bottle of wine. She was a bit wobbly, so she went to bed pretty
quickly. She had had stuffed peppers, but it was done Gary Rhodes and
the pepper had been chopped up and little anchovies and so on added,
the whole lot was drenched in olive oil which made her decision to have
something light and healthy a bit pointless. "So what did you have for
tea?" she asked, I said "nothing, well I had some lemonade and there's
half a cup of coffee waiting for me". So I heated up the remains of the
day before's tea and ate that instead.
People come up to me and say you've lost weight. In fact two people I
work with said they hardly recognised me. One of them kept a set of
scales under the desk, and when I stood on them I was about 15 stone,
and I thought I can't have lost half a stone since this morning. So
they must be wrong.
Last night Tabby spent ages deciding where to sleep. Longhair of course
just dumps himself where he wants to kip, but Tabby is much older and
far more picky about his patch to sleep in. The nights are colder, and
I dont sleep on the covers anymore.
I had a strange dream where my wife was working in a country club as a
hostess dressed in white and I got a bit fed up, tried to smash some
promotional mugs and got banned. Not too clever that. Then I was on
this bus with two friends. We had been on the bus for some hours,
travelling through open countryside on this bus.
On the tape I was doing I put stuff on that Erin hadnt heard of. Mind
you before I knew her there was a lot of stuff I didnt know either.
