Mourning Fry-up

Following porridge - addled vomit
sugared with salt,
eggs, almost out of date break
and blister lardy, as tomatoes splurge
burst skins and puddle bloody
under withered strips of streaking swine.
The sausage - slickly thick and greased
anticipates the yolks of disappointed eggs,
whilst beans laugh gaseous at black
pudding saturated and unsanitary
looking, beside old spuds that bubble
and squeak of fears they had
of being wasted and left
untasted, mouldering in the fridge.
Don't forget the juice -

Gosh, you've put me right off
Gosh, you've put me right off my fry-up, now, Bee.
Seriously though, some great culinary imagery, here. Particularly like the 'disappointed eggs', and 'beans laugh(ing) gaseous at black pudding'. Not forgetting, of course, the play on words in the title.
Much enjoyed, now I'm off to find the carrot juice. Well done on the more than deserved cherry.

Reminds me of an abstract
Reminds me of an abstract painting, Bee!
(and also of some breakfasts I've been presented with in some hotels when I was on the road )
I think you should sell this to Weight Watchers (or the Dept of Health).
Maybe a good recipe for Saturday Kitchen
