James awoke in a sweat, only remembering bits and pieces of his dream, he shuddered, got up, and poured himself a hot glass of coffee, then went into the bathroom to wash his face. "Alright James, this is your chance at a new life, don't screw it up," James said to his reflection in the mirror above the sink as he thought about his dream from the night before. He put his empty coffee mug into the sink, pulled a cigarette out of his pack, and began to make his way down the carpeted hallway back to main street. There were many smiling faces, mostly parent and their children. More than likely all that could afford to live in Messotopia. James shivered when he thought of the many ways he acquired the money he needed to live in this town. "Remember James, it's a new start. Now, let's see if we can find you a job," he said to himself smiling as the other citizens gazed at him strangely. "Hey there sir!"said the shop keep enthusiastically,"What can I help you with?"
"Well sir, I'm in need of work if there are any openings."
"I may be able to find something for a gent like yourself," said the shops keep with a smile on his face. "You'll be stocking shelves and unloading the-"
"I'm your man!" James interrupted.
"Well I'm glad to see your excited about the work," said the shop keep cheerfully. "You can start tomorrow around nine A.M."
"Sounds good to me boss!" Said James vigorously shaking his new employers hand. James turned and left the store and lit another cigarette to celebrate his victory. "One day here and I've already got a job, maybe this place'll be OK after all."
