Lust/Red
By Canonette
- 1746 reads
Though your sins be as scarlet...
Sins are cardinal, the absence of virtue.
I drink from the cup of fornication;
the goblet of my abomination.
Not so much –
I find its filth lost in supping
sweet juiciness.
The sharp bite of snow white’s apple,
is red delicious.
My lust is a crimson lake to drown in;
so, oh, how I wallow.
I ride the scarlet beast ‘til it burns me;
heating my crucible, bubbling up molasses,
grinding black to vermillion, pestle in mortar.
My cinnabar heart pounding.
Dig deep – the gates of hell have opened.
