There was a young lady from Hampstead
Who lived in a permanent dread.
"To lose my good name
Would be such a shame
In fact I would rather be dead."
Now it has to be said
That before she was wed
In bed she would tarry
With Tom, Dick or Harry.
Her life must have hung by a thread.
