We

We pale-skinned interlopers do not thrive in southern, sultry climes.
The lotus tastes sickly and we long for the bitter fruit of winter rain.
None understand us: they consider us lilies, or worse.
We do not share their genetic clock,
we displace their tick for our Britannic tock.
We thin-lipped immigrants do not lie in darkened, dingy rooms.
The sunlight warms thickly and we ooze through the sweaty heat of summers long.
None understand us: they consider us madmen, or worse.
We do not share their latino ways,
we displace their nights for our be-sozzled days.
We bell-shaped parasites do not laugh at paper, paltry games.
The anger boils quickly and we curse all the flinty poise of drudging clerks.
None understand us: they consider us burdens, or worse.
We do not love their gitano wiles,
we displace their invention with our moronic smiles.
We soft-brained expatriates do not leave in maddened, angry droves.
The older move slowly and we stay for all the safely known of boring lives.
None understand us: they consider us foreign, or worse.
We do not love their spontaneous glee
we displace their gaiety with our most minor key.

I'm sure most Spanish
I'm sure most Spanish definitely would not appreciate being compared to Gitanos by a guiri.
Especially since June '16, I think the Brits are more welcome in Spain than the Spanish are in the UK.
PS My Spanish friend doesn't find cheating the foriegners very amusing,

I see you are in Andalus,
To the folks further North rather a different culture. I never have been that far south on the peninsular, Madrid and Alicante pretty different.
However, I guess I have been much further south in Gran Canaris (Las Palmas) and Lanzerote over between 2004 and 2010 when I had to leave due to illness.
Certainly the Canarios are rather differnent to Andalusians I have met.
Funnily enough the Andalusian I knew closest was living in England for many years and very integrated when it came to living in the UK, but nevertheless still typical Andalus in other ways (but not a Gitanito) I guess like every culture, you can take a spaniad out of Spain but not ....
Having obsevered the Brit and Other Europeans, living in the Canaries I would say they definitely need to learn about integration themselves. BUT, I know you are not like those people, as I was not also.
