Mary Jane
make me sleepy
come and put
my mind at ease

three sweet drops
make me cozy
dig a hole
and pour me in

let me sleep
in fields of clover
let me dream
of days gone by

when we had smiles
as bright as neon
when we had hopes
that wouldn't die

most every day
is walked in circles
searching for signs
of you in the air

I open my arms
and long to
hold you
I close my eyes
and draw you near

whole/hole - could be either or both! Is this about 'special medicine' Hudson? The dream-like quality and the second half has hints that it might be - to me at least.

Thanks for the lovely comments, you sweet bunch. I was messing with liquid cannibis to help me sleep. Which helped, but did me no good as a functioning human the next day. Will give it a rest. Doesn't help with the writing either.

Liquid cannabis, ooh naughty, naughty! Or maybe you live in one the States where it is legal. Anybody's guess when it will get legalised here in Blighty. Legalisation gets my vote even if it's aTory government passes the law. Shoot did I say that? Must be the booze...
