Winning Streak

I'm four brown shots into a bottle of Jack.
I've been here before and I'm coming back
I'm a gamblin' man hearing the bugle call.
The difference being that I can not fall.
To a gambler, the second best thing
To a winning hand is a losing hand.
Anything beats no action at all.
A man should never gamble
More than he can afford to lose.
The amount I risk is the amount I choose
So if I stay within, which I always do
Even on those days when I lose more than a few
It's only the price of fortunate action
Only the piece of elusive satisfaction
Only a space for wishful distraction.
Always a win, always a grin
Excuse me while I pour another shot
And torch another cigarette
Without remorse, without regret.
Pick another horse, make another bet
