Still photographs,
reykjavik held within a winter's night,
colour the quiet moments of my life with grey light frozen in time.
Your footfall follows a line of time painted in so many strands of blue,
a silence that always perpetuates life itself.
Dreams create each caressing snowflake;
as love spins within a spoke of an ever turning wheel;
invisible yet still existing.
Weaving the colours of the sky,
snowflakes fall upon a concert of sound.
Laden with thoughts,
each breath creates a single note
while
the wind winds its way through shops and streets;
violins catching your dream.
Violet and grey light paint a single canvas of just one thought,
one space,
one note upon a piano in silence with my soul;
one sigh, one love,
one continum of a symphony in a silence borne
from a love
that never ends
though your absence haunts its hallways.
Created from sagas, and the low voice of your words,
the memory,
though time prevails,
follows my heart
to my soul
to a single footstep,
to a single note,
to a symphony where you always are.
grey violet skies,
karl,
a single note played upon a piano in a reykjavik sky.

:-)
This is really very lovely. I was impressed by lots of thing, the consistency of the themes and the imagery, the selection of language and the delightful way that you engage the senses.
I was really taken with the last line and was struck how the poem might be made 'whole' if this was the opening line as well. Bringing that sense of symetry and circularity might elevate the piece a little more?
Excellent whether or not.
