Good morning, midnight

Good morning night-time
Good morning night-time
I must thank you for killing the light
For removing the brightness that reveals the truth.
You bring the stars for me to wish upon,
and the crescent moon for me to lye on
and rock to the sweet music of a lullaby
like a first born in it's cradle.
Good morning midnight
You bring the feast and the deep thought,
of what tomorrow may not bring.
You bring the dreams I can never understand.
Good morning early hours
You bring the birds who's song breaks my silence
but what do they sing?
and do they sing for me?
As the sun begins to rise and
the moon begins to set
The stars hide behind the clouds
that bring the rain,
that washes away my troubles.
Good morning, morning
Here you are again
I cannot stop your return,
although sometimes I wish I could.
