Fly Your Colours

The road you're about to travel is a difficult one, I've been on it a while, but it's one few regret and it's one only made hard because of every-bugger-else. 
 
You're going to want to hide, to retreat and cocoon until you're complete, until you're ready but that's going to take a while; you shouldn't feel that way. What you're going through is beautiful, it's majestic, and just because there are some people who don't feel that way, we're forced to think otherwise.
 
Stuff them.
 
Life is short and you're going to have to be brave; it's going to be awkward, it's going to be uncomfortable but it's also going to be brilliant.
 
You'll smile like you've never smiled before, you'll feel things you've never felt before, you'll do things you've never done and meet people you'd have never met. It's going to be fantastic, you'll be fantastic. So, before it begins, here's some advice from one traveller to another:
 
Never forget to listen to those who came before you, occasionally they have something useful to say.
 
Be kind to yourself and to the others you meet along the way; we're all finding ourselves and some have better eyes than others.
 
Try to avoid pears. They're either too hard or too squishy and no-one should have to roll the dice for a piece of mediocre fruit. Be the mediocre fruit on your bad days.
 
Do what feels right for you, not the people around you. Start afresh or continue the story, it's your choice.
 
And above all else, don't, not for one damn second, allow anyone to tell you that what you're doing is wrong. Let their rage light up your brilliance, let their anger brighten your colours, dazzle them with your unapologetic self.
 
Live well, fly high and above all else, take care.

This is so uplifting, Lore, and a wonderful take on the IP. I love the pear analogy (although quite a fan of pears myself, I get the point!). I am going to show this to a family member who is going through a bit of a tough time at the moment, because this is applicable to so many situations.
