Earths Child

Earths Child
Your bare feet touch the earth so fair
With each and every timely stride
The soil you squidge beneath your toes
Softening with the seasons tides
The Sun he glows down on the brow,
Tinting golden the forests hue,
You spread your wings to feel his touch,
As the winds they race your fingers through.
As you gaze into the waters surface
Reflections of your beauty ripple through
Your peachy cheeks and windswept hair
Entices this pool with your thoughts anew
Sweetened essence of Rosemary's scent
Surrounds and caresses your air so tender
A guard against negative forces
A power that resists surrender
Your bed a browned mass of twigs and leafs
Gathered from last autumn's fall
Comfort you found, underneath the bough
Of the wisest tree of them all
Night-time sheds an unlit curtain
Moonlight shimmering, illuminating the grove
She whispers to you secrets of old
And wraps you tight in her motherly hold
A sacred being of Earthly kin
At one in reverence with nature
They talk to you and keep you safe
You are their spirit son/daughter.
