The daily tread of of tragedy,
hits between the eyes.
Love was - now lies bloodless
upon a run down lie.
.
I've walked a million miles for you,
down to Yaxham and back, the days
were bright as buttons and the horses
were all black. I said, "You do!"
.
He laughed with teeth all grimy,
from the cradle of the night.
"Sit down upon your hiney,
cast down your agony of right."
.
The world was young once, now
the future's bleak, the weak
have risen up and inherited
a disaster and a risen peak.
.
The Dragons have developed,
the Devil's have arrived.
I'm blasted all the way
to heaven, you've survived.
.
This poem is hereby written
by a saint of latter years,
who's sat amongst her peers.
In the winter of her years.
