An Autumn Kiss

It was Autumn and the cave was getting darker

and shadows were a marker of the time I was in

and the days were getting  colder

as leaves fell on my shoulder in colours red and brown

Going through changes on the way

growing up a little more each day .

In a cave I had found

I had to hang on just a little while longer

to the feelings I didn’t  want anymore like leaves around my  door

gathered up in piles waiting for the wind to blow them away

for a million miles or more

on an  Autumns day  before she came my way   .

I never though that I could find someone as  beautiful as this

and when I’m in her in her arms I’m swept away  by  an Autumn kiss ,

Everything is changing for the better

ever since I met her on a golden  Autumn day

and winter came our way and love had come to stay .

When ever I think about  the changes that I had to go through

time and time again some people think I’m strange

what about you ,

do you hide away from the light of day ,

hang on  love will find  a way   .
