The Bigotry Blues
By Paul McCann
Justice won’t you come and walk beside me ,
hold me up before I fall on my knee
I’ve been refused help and badly abused ,
living too long with the bigotry blues
I’ve hardly got the strength to carry on,
I’ve been kicked and battered for much too long ,
I’ve done nothing wrong that’s why I’m confused ,
tied to the ground with the bigotry blues .
Justice can you hear me , I know you’re there ,
can you be on my side, somehow, somewhere ,
since the day I was born , it begs belief ,
I’ve been suffering here with no relief .
Feeling low down with the bigotry blues ,
it’s hard to keep calm so hard to defuse
There’s a bitter taste that’s too hard to chew ,
so I’ve swallowed my pride my whole life through .

I could hear this as lyrics
I could hear this as lyrics to song, it has that blues feel about it.
