The Day Evil Fell

There were about twenty villages around the perimeter of the Gerrunga jungle .
Many of the tribes were involved with black magic and witchcraft .
In recent times there had been an increase of Christian missionaries that arrived to fight the forces of evil that existed there .
At first they were not made welcome and were forced out by the tribal elders .

When tribespeople mysteriously stared to disappear witch doctors performed rituals and offered sacrifices to stop the curse of people disappearing but all of their efforts could not stop people disappearing which resulted in a lot of people seeking help and guidance from the Christian missionaries .

Deep in the heart of Gerrunga Jungle , there was something that the world had never seen , an evil without conscious with a hunger for human flesh and every evening when the daylight faded , enormous black jungle snakes slithered out of sight under the cover of darkness where they shed their skin and emerged in different shapes and forms .
They had the head of a rat , the sharp pointed teeth of a lion and of the body of a bear . They had dragon claw-like feet and the wings of a bat and every night they took flight to nearby the villages to snatch anyone they could find .
More and more people were being reported missing every day and no one had any idea what was going on .
The small missionary churches began to fill with people who were frightened for their lives .
As more and more missionaries arrived daily clusters of Christian’s started to engage in a spiritual warfare attack on all those who were still practising witchcraft .
Then one night one of the hideous creatures came down from the sky to snatch a man who was on his way to the little mission chapel .
Suddenly from the shadows a man emerged with a light shining around him and called out to the beast .

“ By the power invested in me by He who is greater and more powerful than you I command you in the name of Jesus to descend into the depths of hell from where you came and there were the walls are eight miles thick , you will be bound behind the gates of hell never to escape again .”

The demon like creature landed on the ground and made its way over to the man , with saliva pouring from its mouth and its claws ready to strike , an angel with a sword appeared and destroyed the beast . Its final scream sent  out a shrieking sound that pierced an echo through the night that brought others to the scene .

As they landed they were confronted by a white light and from the light an angelic force emerged and the fight that ensued was a war never seen on the earth .
As each of the dark creatures were defeated the ground opened up and they were swallowed into the depths of the earth .
Their growls and screams were heard all over then jungle .
This had been the first attack in the final days of the cleansing of the earth .
No one had expected this to happen as quickly as it did and for all who survived , they were the witness for the present and future , a living testimony of the destruction of evil on the earth .
In the end life on earth had become innocent and true the jungles had become like spiritual sanctuaries with structures of stone left as reminders of goodness than had overcome evil and the oceans had become landscapes of promise with new life and creatures that were able to live in peace with each other to build habitats that were self-sustainable .
It was a perfect existence without evil and goodness was seen in everyone and everything that existed there .
