Don’t Make Such A Fuss
By Paul McCann
Come till I whisper in your ear
if we don’t skedaddle out of here
we may as well go on the tear .
Throwing black porter down our neck
buckling over with the Craic,
while the wife’s on her own
waiting back in the home
with a monkey on her back .
So put the drinks on us
and the monkey on the bus,
before you know it we’ll be coming home
now don’t make such a fuss .
Wait and I’ll tell you what we’ll do.
we’ll have a jar for the monkey too
and maybe when she see’s us
she won’t make such a fuss,
about rolling home in a drunken state
and being out so late ,
enjoying all the Craic ,
isn’t it great ,
taking in the a wee bit of slack .
So put the drinks on us
and the monkey on the bus
before you know it we’ll be coming home
now don’t make such a fuss .
Come on let’s get the hell skates out of here
for the heads not thinking clear
about a half hour’s walking pace
I know this little place ,
Its where I should be ,
its home sweet home to me
with my darling wife the love of my life
and she’s means the world to me .
So put the drinks on us
and the monkey on the bus
before you know it we’ll be coming home
now don’t make such a fuss .
