Exiles Of Love
By Paul McCann
An appetite for justice has overkilled today
and I think about the mission so many miles away .
Where bellies filled with hunger turn over again and again
And in every empty space there’s a face without a name .
They call them refugees with a semi conscious smile
Escaping situations , aren’t we all exiles
Exiles of love we never knew ,
exiles of it all until we come home to You .
Its acommon thing we share in the shape of skin and bone
We suffer every circumstance and stand up on our own .
Guilty or innocent tell me , who is to blame ,
In all of the madness there’s another face without a name .
They call them refugees with a semi conscious smile
Escaping situations , aren’t we all exiles
Exiles of love we never knew ,
exiles of it all until we come home to You .
.
