The Fairy Floss Tree
By Paul McCann
In the fairy forest there grew a flossy tree
Back in a once upon a time when the bumble birds made honey
and the forest fairies made bumbleberry wine .
The flossy tree had sticky pink threads of candy strings
that hung and clung to the hives of the ramble scramble
bramble bees who hummed their songs to fairies at sunrise .
There was music around the fairy floss tree
with the strumming of spiders cobwebs
and the drumming of magic pea pods
and trumpets of flowers in their mossy beds .
The fairies of the forest enjoyed the music and they drank
Bumbleberry wine and they all lived together up in the fairy floss tree ,
once upon a time.

Must be the child in me, I'm
Must be the child in me, I'm so much enjoying all your magical fairy poems. Also loved the idea of a bumble birds making honey, for the forest fairies to make bumble wine. So magical and I could picture the whole scene.
Thank you again for sharing.
Jenny.
