Chapter 1
The Fairy Wave
There was I on a hill overlooking the beach waiting for the sun to come up . I had wanted to do this for many years . Just me and the sunrise on a deserted beach . Just before the sun rose, I noticed something strange . Suddenly the sand began to turn pink . I looked in amazement at what was going on . Then I saw a large black rock that arose out of the sand on the beach .
Out on the water a small wave appeared , it started to rise up and on the crest of that wave I saw a fairy .She was waving her magic wand over the water and as she did swirls of rippling water seemed gushing upwards and spinning around in twirling tunnels , dancing and leaping un and down on waves that were rushing in to the shore . When the fairy arrived near the shoreline, I watched her as she leapt out of the water and on to the pink sand that suddenly returned back to its natural golden-brown colour . She never saw me there on the hill as I watched her disappear into the black rock there that sank into the sand and out of sight . I sat there in a trance wondering what on earth had just happened .
I made a promise to return at the same time the next day to see if the same thing would happen .
All that day I couldn’t stop thinking about that fairy on the beach .
The next morning, I went and sat there waiting . .
This time there were three or more fairies that arrived in on a wave to the pink sand on the shore ., The rock once again appeared from nowhere on the sand and the fairies made their way over and disappeared inside the rock that sank under the sand . I went to investigate the place where the rock had been but found nothing .
The following day I returned again to the hill to observe the goings on .
This time there were lots of fairies that rode in to the shore on the crest of several waves . They all disappeared into the black rock that arose from underneath the sand . After that morning, I returned every day but never once did I see the fairies or the rock again . I felt disappointed that they never returned and somehow, I had to find an answer to the vision I had seen .
I decided to start digging all around the area where the black rock had appeared and to my surprise, I found a large treasure chest filled with golden coins .
When I took the coins for a valuation at an antique dealer, he informed me that the coins were part of a consignment that had been lost at sea in a Spanish ship sank many years ago
I was the lucky one to have found them and I convinced myself that they were a gift from the fairies .
No one and nothing could convince me otherwise and with all the new found wealth I had received I build a big house on the hill overlooking the beach where I first saw the fairy on a wave.
I sat there at the window every morning waiting and watching for the fairies to return but never once did they come back ,.
As grateful that I am for all the wealth I was given there is no one I can tell about what I had seen , as you know what I mean , who would believe me ?

The Fairies
As a child William Blake told of how he saw fairies, when playing in the gardens between the flowers, people regarded him as insane but harmless, so he was left alone and not interfered with. How could you know, just because You don't see them?
“To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour".
See you! Tom
