The Flowers Won't Bloom
By Paul Mc Cann
Where the sun has not spared, Where water has not shared, Lies scars of the flowers that won’t bloom .
In the cracks you will find, There are seeds for the blind , and for the tears that we cry to the moon .
There’s a staircase to climb , Where the moonbeams decline, to shed light on soil back beyond the breach .
Where the dead and dry earth, Will not give a bud birth, so sadly sand dunes are now within reach .
So the flowers won’t bloom, And the land has been doomed , to become a desolate wilderness .
A land covered in dust , What has become of us, all the flowers that once grew are lifeless. |
