Hoops And Cleeks and Guiders On The Go

We took our hoops and cleeks

And ran around the streets.

Steering was hard to do

with a cleek bent in two

and the hoop running wild

just like an Ardoyne child .

We built our guiders good

around the neighbourhood

we raced around and round

with both feet off the ground .

When I was just a lad .

All of us were buck mad .

Hoops and cleeks and guiders,

Chasing after sliders

Or even 99’s ,

back in the good old times.

When all the games we played

where made up in our head .
