I'm Not In The Real World

You’re not living in the real world ,

that’s what people say every time I’m writing ,

I always drift far away,

it doesn’t worry me I can’t hear a word they say ,

I’m in a world of my own and for me that’s ok

You’re not living in the real world ,

some people tell me when I’m singing songs about peace and harmony,

if only they could believe and feel the things I see ,

but they just don’t hear the beauty of the melody.

You’re not living in the real world,

well maybe they’re right .

but I just can’t stop singing about the things I write

and I can’t help drifting far away and out of sight  ,

So If you think I’m another world ,

that’s all right  .
