The Inn Keeper

The Inn Keeper and his wife had a busy night and it was almost time to close however two soldiers in the crowd decided to keep drinking after it was time to close They had already spent all their money so they made a plan to tie up the inn keeper and his wife and put them down in the cellar and then drink everything in the place .

Just after the last customer left the inn they proceeded to  carry out their plan , The inn keeper and his wife were not expecting to be put in this predicament and so they were taken by surprise . Meanwhile at the4 same time making their way across the desert were Joseph , Mary and the donkey who were in need of a place to stay as she was almost ready to give birth to a child  .

When Joseph knocked on the door of the inn the two soldiers had just put the Inn keeper and his wife in the cellar .

“See who that is and get rid of them “

Said Hyman who was putting a gag on the two prisoners . Harka his accomplice went to answer the knock at the front door .

;”We have come a long way and need a room for a few days . My wife is soon to give birth . Would you have a spare room?

“No, we have no room .We’re fully booked .”

Said the soldier and Joseph replied.  

“We would be willing to sleep on the floor in the cellar There must be somewhere you can give us  fort a few days “

The soldier replied

“I already told you . We’re full  “

And then he closed the door .

Joseph wasn’t happy with the attitude he received and then he noticed the outside cellar door was open . He tied the donkey to a nearby tree and opened the door for himself and Mary to get inside where they would be safe and private .

A few minutes later he found the Innkeeper and his wife tied up . After he set them free they explained what was happening , The Inn Keeper said if he could get the authorities  to come and arrest the two soldiers in the Inn he would give them his stable for as long as they needed it , He had just renovated it and it was warm and dry   .

Joseph went and informed the authorities about the two soldiers . In no time at all they were arrested and taken away while the Inn Keeper and his wife  opened up the stable for Joseph and Mary and brought them some food and a short time later the baby was born   the child was healthy and everyone was happy .
