Chapter 10 

Mable Rocks The Cradle  

Dave and Mable were married in a wonderland experience surrounded by strangers they never knew , everyone who came to the wedding had been hired by the happy couple both of them had no family or real friends . They both had acquaintances but no one very close so when they were planning the wedding it was not what you would call a traditional celebration or a normal experience; it was more like a magical marriage between two very special people .

There were two white swans pulling little carriages with flowers to the lake where  a marriage celebrant was waiting there for Dave and Mable to make their wedding vows . A man played a harp from the back of a cart pulled by  a donkey with a blind man at the reins . Hundreds of people stood around witnessing the wedding . Some walked on stilts , some had roller skates ,everyone was in a fancy dress costume , they were all who they wanted to be . Men and women with masks , some riding bicycles and tandems . a few rode around on penny farthing bikes , there were all kinds of characters all invited to be there by Mable and Dave for their wedding .

Mable and Dave stood together as the celebrant called everyone to gather in for the wedding vows . He welcomed everyone and blessed them all for being there then he asked everyone to join in singing along to the songs that were chosen by the bride and groom .

Candles were lit and promised were made sealed with a kiss and they were now man and wife . They both walked hand in hand to the wedding reception in the beautiful gardens beside the lake . All around the garden there were statues holding flowers and ribbons  and hand written signs congratulating the happy couple . There were artworks and murals scattered all over the gardens on walls and water features .

Above in the sky a helicopter dropped down close to the gardens and dropped gifts for everyone there , A parade of animals arrived , some dreed up in costumes . Pigs with little boots walked around tired to the back of a golf buggy that was driven slowly by a doctor in a white coat . Baby elephants arrived with saddles on their backs and dwarfs dressed like jockeys sitting in the saddles . Then a small man with a tall hat brought a rooster on a lead , followed by a girls with Hula Hoops , Boys with cowboy suits riding push bikes , All of the characters had been hired and a man with a microphone took to the stage in the middle of the gardens and called everyone there to welcome the bride and groom to take their seat at the head of the reception .

“Please enjoy this very happy day as we celebrate the marriage of Dave and Mable “

The crowd cheered and music played and the party begun , Fun was had by everyone there and the sound of laughter was heard everywhere . Then suddenly from the sky a hot air balloon descended from the sky to take away Dave and Mable to their honeymoon getaway.

As the months passed , life was more like a fairytale every day for Dave and Mable . With a baby on the way and so much to be grateful for Dave and Mable lived the dream that not many could ever experience .It was the perfect time for them to have a baby . Thay had everything to look forward to . A life together sharing the love of a lifetime .

Mr Locke had built them a home of their own on his vineyard property . Dave was working in the cellars and events side of the vineyard organizing events and wine tasting . Mable was  still doing her artwork on commission by tourism and the department ethnic affairs .

Mable still had her magic ways happening in her life and life was good in a world that was adapting to change and accepting diversity and challenge .
