Magnificent Milly And Her Magic Tricycle

Chapter Seven

 

The Lost And Found

 

 

Christmas was on its way and Milly always missed her parents being around at this time of year . Each year she had a ritual of wrapping herself a few presents and putting them under Christmas tree . It always reminded her of how it once was when her Mammy and Daddy were around .

Her mind was drifting back to those times and suddenly she was brought back to the present by the magic pebbles  in the jar that began bleeping and calling out to her.

Milly went and sat down beside the talking pebbles that started talking , .

 

“Milly we have  some information for you Milly about your new mission called the lost and found .Listen now and we’ll tell you what ‘s going on . Your tricycle will bring you to a busy market place where you will see and hear a little boy crying because he’s lost his mother in the crowd .  Because of your intervention he will not be kidnapped by a nasty person . After the boy is reunited with his mother the tricycle will bring you into a department store . On the second floor there will be a woman crying because she lost her purse . After you share your gift of peace and joy with her , you will tell her she left her purse in the ladies bathroom and it was handed into customer service . After you leave the department store the tricycle will take you into a street  in the village where a woman has locked the keys of her house inside  and is very distressed because she needs to have some urgent medicine for blood disorder  condition . Your intervention will save her life .After this the mission of lost and found will be completed . Go now Milly and make a difference in the world .  “

Milly went outside and got into her magic tricycle and was soon on her way along the garden path to the edge of the rainbow and onwards to the Christmas markets .

She left her tricycle in a safe place and started walking through the markets looking at all the stalls . There was a nativity scene that had attracted some children . That’s when she heard this little boy screaming for his mother and she knew that was her first mission .She made her way over to where the little boy was put her hand on his head . He stopped crying immediately and began to giggle ... Then he was laughing away . She stood there with him until he settled . Shortly afterwards Milly noticed a woman frantically running around calling out .

“Papple ,  Papple where are you ?“

She was very distressed.

Milly looked at the child and asked.

 “Is your name Papple ?
The little boy replied .

“My name is Paulo but Mammy calls me Papple “

Milly began waving her arms and calling out to the worried mother ,

‘”Hello , over here ... your son here ?”

After they were reunited Milly made her way back through the stalls to where she had left her tricycle . There were so many stalls with toys and decorations .

Milly didn’t have time to do shopping as there were two other missions to complete.

The markets were very busy with people out looking for bargains .

 

There were stalls with jewellery and others with clothes and shoppers were pulling through all the items on display . It was such an intriguing place but a nightmare for little children who could get easily lost in the crowd ,

When Milly got back into her tricycle and she was transported to a large department store . She locked up her tricycle locked to a chain on the lamppost outside and made her way inside the store and went up to the second floor where she browsed through some of the items that were marked down fifty percent . There lots of  bargains to find  . Then she noticed a lady there standing among the other shoppers looking everywhere for something.

While everyone else was looking at the Christmas specials she was looking on the floor and in her pockets . One minute she was here then she was there ,

‘When Milly went over the poor woman was distracted and crying .

Traumatised and unconsolable , Milly placed her hand over her shoulder that had an immediate impact . The woman stopped crying and was at peace ,

“Have you lost something”.

 Milly asked and the reply came back ,

 “You must think I’m silly ,, Ha Ha  , but he it’s just , every second word she was giggling and laughing . Eventually she told Milly about her lost purse that had all the money she had saved up to buy things for her family .

When Milly explained the purse was found in the ladies toilet and was handed over to the customer service desk the lady let out a scream of rapturous joy .

“Thank you so much . You must think I’ve gone made , but I don’t know what’s come over me , I just couldn’t stop laughing , you know it’s really silly ... The she started laughing again over and over which started some other people laughing and in a short while everyone came over to see what was so funny and they also got caught up in the laughter .

Milly left the department store and retuned to the tricycle outside that brought her to a street in the village . There was a woman in the oath of a house with a pram that had a baby wrapped up asleep . The woman seemed drowsy and short of  breath . Calling out to herself   ,

“Jesus I’m not going to make it to the clinic . I’m always late again “

Milly approached and said  .

“Hello there, are you ok  “

The woman was nodding in a negative way and said ,

“I was rushing to the doctors to get a repeat on my prescription . My blood sugar is very high and I’ve left my insulin inside the house but I’ve locked the door’s top the house and left the keys inside on the table : If I don’t get my insulin soon, I’ll need an  ambulance . Can you help ?”

Milly held her hands and the woman began breathing better and she started smiling .

The lady was giggling away as Milly had a look around at all the windows to the house and saw one of them was left open . She took a look at the woman and her pram . She seemed happy there giggling and unconcerned . Milly quickly opened up the window that was left open and climbed inside the house .

She found the keys in the kitchen table and the insulin medicine pen with them .

She brought them out to the woman who was sitting half-conscious on the ground and she was able to self-administer the insulin medicine . The poor woman was.

embarrassed about leaving her keys and medicine on the table and locking the house .  .

Laughing in between her words she said ,’

“Silly me , I locked the house and forgot the key .”

Her little baby also started giggling in the pram .

 “Just as well you left a window open “

Milly said and the lady started laughing and said ,

‘You were like burglar breaking into my house . How can I ever thank you :”:

 

As Milly made her way back to her tricycle, she could still hear the woman laughing.

Now that her mission was complete ,it was time for her to return back home on her magic tricycle  .
