I get a little bit back , some taken away

in the business of life everyone’s got to pay

but as long as the sun shines up in the sky,

I’ll keep making hay until the day I die.

Hay hoe , hay hoe , its off I go ,

going to find a way to make some money-oh  ,

 

I’m making hay on triple time ,

making hay on triple time  ,

how long will it last well I really don’t know ,

I’ll take all I can , watch the money grow ,

keep raking it in ,  bank  what’s mine  ,

I’m making hay on triple time ,

 

In the dust and drought , the tough survive ,

I’ll find another job from 9 to 5 ,

there’s no rest for the wicked even less for the good ,

making a quid its understood ,

got to knuckle down sometimes

and make hay while the sun shines ,

 

I’m making hay on triple time ,

how long will it last well I really don’t know ,

I’ll take all I can , watch the money grow ,

keep raking it in ,  bank  what’s mine  ,

Got to wait for a rebate

for my hard earned pay ,

broke my back every single day ,

paying too much tax but what the heck ,

I’ll find a way to get some of it back , then donate it to a good cause to earn some respect  keep the taxman off my back
