I’m talking about the midnight rambler

 who comes out when the sun goes down.

If you see the midnight rambler

tell him that he’s welcome in town .

People say the midnight rambler

is never going to settle down .

All he does is play his music

and walks around the streets of your town.

Lucky stars , shine on the rambling man.

There’s no place he calls home.

But he’s never alone .

His best friend’s the guitar in his hand .

Have you heard the midnight rambler

Has always got the latest sound.

There’ll always be a midnight rambler.

The greatest thing that came to your town .
