I don’t want to be caught up in the frantic pace I’m In

I want to be by your side and see the day begin .

As the moss grows near fairy trees in glens

no one can own , slow m e down so I can see

the green hills of home .

Slow me down so I can hear the beating of my  heart .

and  somewhere in the silence I will find a place to start.

Where we can walk together in the sunshine and the rain ,

You and I together in the purple heights again .

Purple heights is where I’ll be

When ever you are here with me .

Over bridges where rivers flow

Then up the mountain we will go

To golden sunsets in the evening glow

Its purple heights  and time goes slow.

When you’re seated on the summit

and a mountain is your throne ,

like the ruler of a kingdom

where peace is all your own ,

that’s when you realise just how wealthy we can be

living in the purple heights where everything is free.

Purple heights is where I’ll be

When ever you are here with me .
