Shake me before I Go To Sleep

I dreamt of her on a mountain

but she looked the other way

and the blue sky  above my head  turned to grey .

I saw her sitting there with somebody*else

and I walked away with ‘the child inside myself .

I woke up in the morning and she was lying next to me

in this place where we live everyday

who knows maybe one day

I won’t wake up at  all

and my dreams will be a million miles away

Shake me before I go to sleep

on the edge of a mountain counting sheep

insomnia gives me goose bumps in the night

I don’t want to wake up with a fright
