Somewhere So Deep

In semi-conscious moments on the edge of dropping off ,

I fall back into the arms there of something warm and soft .

The last thing that I remember was something that I said

that had been going around on the inside of my head  ‘

I hear a  distant echo and I’m almost half asleep ,

Then I hear a voice that brings me back from somewhere so deep

Somewhere so deep , I often drift

and between me and you ,

there’s a subconscious island where dreamers like to go to .

Floating into space , so far beyond ,

out of reach from harm

in a place comfortable and safe

and always soft and warm .
