A Spring Fashion For The Fairy Queen

Where garden fairies dwell around the wishing well

some perfumed petals fell with a heavenly smell   

upon the airs of grace .

 

Springtime made a wish there for flowers to cover  

the fairy queens hair and a colourful flair

of beauty of her face .

 

A little dickybird overheard every word    

and the wish it was shared and then it was referred

to be granted in haste   .

 

The Fairy Queen was seen with a beautiful gleam

and her face was serene and where hair had once been

flowers grew in its place .

Having a love for anything to do with fairies, I was immediately drawn to your poem, which was so beautiful from beginning to end. I also loved the idea of the fairy Queen's head of hair being replaced by flowers...so much a part of our nature is about the charm of colourful flowers, not only for us humans, but for all those insects.

Very descriptive and dreamy to read. Thank you for sharing.
