On Starvation street people have nothing to eat ,

lying in the doorway s where they try to  sleep .

A man in a suit approached the child began to speak .

“I‘m homeless and I’m feeling weak on starvation street “

Starvation Street is a hard old place to be

without  mercy or hope in a doorway with a tenancy .

I’ve got to make you see ,   it could be you or it could be me

on Starvation Street with a vacancy .

He was just another passer by

who couldn’t look her in the eye

No hello or goodbye

with his nose up in the sky .

He was too blind to see ,

there was an emergency

on starvation street another fatality .
