In the female factory prison, there in Hobart

a terrible crime was shared .

What better hero is there than the truth ?

What more evidence do you need than proof ?

Imprisoned behind walls that kept them cold ,

unseen shadows in the night came and stole ,

innocent souls where sunlight never shone ,

in those cells  prisoners were here and gone

and food was just slop to swallow down

as the screams echoed day and night around ,

but suffer no more for the life you had .

The only memory of that was bad  .

The shadow of death took it all away

to a place where now God will have His day .
