When we’re not together, I’m don’t know what to do  

I feel just like a tiger caged up in a zoo ,

walking around in circles so lost without you   

Everyday I keep  busy just to make it through .

Thoughts of you in my head echo my feelings too

till I go stir crazy in everything I do ,

It’s hardly ever you and I have been apart

its not  easy as I love you with all my heart

You’re the girl I love ,without you I’m on my own  

It’s so frustrating when you can’t get a flight home  .

We’re lovers castaways on separate islands .

It’s hard to believe what happened to all our plans     

Flight after flight cancelled, our hopes fell from the sky

They send an mail but never a reason why.

Getting a flight  is like winning the lottery

added costs make it an impossibility  .   

COVID restrictions and travel requirements too

swab tests and then there’s the quarantine still to do .

Soon will come the day when you can fly back to me

and we can be together the way we should be .

Things happen for a reason and I know that’s true

but in saying that , every day I’m missing you .

The love I have for you is the best thing I know .     

Waiting here in the same place , you left long ago
