We Ran Out Of Time

There were too many steps to make it to the top ,

we ran out of time everything came to a stop ,

there were too many people standing in the crowd ,

everyone was cheering and shouting out loud.

There were too many things that went wrong before ,

we ran out of time and everything fell on the floor .

There were too many people who were lost in their grief  ,

being persecuted because of their faith and belief .

We ran out of time , it took too long to get here ,

There was too much crime and people living in fear .

We ran out of time to fix what was wrong .

Too many have gone because they never belonged .

There were too many times that people could not give ,

help for the needy who found it too hard to live ,

we ran out of time and nothing could be done ,

to bring back the smiles on the faces of everyone

There was too much going on out there everywhere ,

but there was not enough time and nobody cared ,

 there were too many people getting left behind

and no one tried to help and we ran out of time.
