The Young Old Man

The old man tried not to speak ,

when  they said that he was weak .

Then they said that he was old .

He wondered if they'd been

told .

Some people are very rude .

Some people are just no good .

Some people should watch their tongue ,

 for in his eyes he is  young .

The old man thought to himself .

Thank God I'm still in good health .

In his mind he still can see ,

the way that he used to be .

In his heart his love will last 

even though time has gone past
