Chapter Five: A Cry in the Night
Months before the huge Christmas celebration around the city of London, it was a night that many could not forget. It was a night of horror, which stuck the city at unexpected surprise. A shrivel cry could be hear all through the city which is something that most could not explain. Unpredictably as the bitter cold weather began alerting the flow in the atmosphere, where the high winds and began to blow violently making it dangerous for anyone to be in the open street at a vulnerably time during the winter months.
As the winters, months grew acrimoniously colder and moderately darker monstrous things started transpiring all over the city making it more challenging than it already is. With that being said, Christopher, Cornelius identical twin brother born with a spinal abnormality was spotted lurking in a wooded area nearest to Laverne Neckett marketplace by a young homeless girl scrounging for leftover scrapes in the trash bin all because of hardship that her family faces because of the impoverish lives they are forced to live in because of the English Monarch trying to set in motion a strict penalty for anyone who goes against the Crown.
On the corner of Fleet Street is an old abandoned abattoir, which used to produce all types of meat including poultry and beef. That is on the night of its closing a young woman body was found hacked to pieces in a pile of already decomposed meat ready for disposal. Another thing that I forget to mention and that is the Abattoir belonged to the McDaniel family. To this very day, shrieks can still be heard coming from the abattoir at all godly hours of the night. Scary to think that it was once owned by a prosperous family, now sits there abandoned with the windows and doors smashed, with graffiti marked all over the front entrance as if it was an unconsecrated place because of the things that went on behind the close doors of the abattoir.
After months of its closure, rumors have spread like wildfire about the things that went on in there. For instance, the meat that they were selling to restaurants all over the city was actually human meat, which was disguised to look like slaughtered meat from a dead cow. Which has been going on long before anyone knew the difference between beef and human meat since they both have the same distinguished taste when prepared over an open flame. Down the street from the abattoir was a barber who returned from an unjustly exiled to the scandalous dingy Fleet Street seeking vengeance in contradiction of unethical and libidinous magistrate who framed him and scarred his young wife. He goes by the name of Elmer H. Clarey a barber who is taking revenge for the happening that occurred while he was in prison all those many years.
Innocently enough as Elmer H. Clarey’s business starts booming up that is when he starts to slit his customer’s throats with a straight razor to avenge his wife’s death to feed the hungry people who often venture next door into Madame Abby Seery Slavin’s meat pie shop for a taste for her famous flaky delicious pastry’s and often there are times when you enter you never return alive, but flesh will be grinded into flaky pastry’s that will be baked and eaten like nothing even happened.
