It looks like they are coming right our of the sky, they aren't solid, they are literally shadows, changing shape every time you glance at them. I ready my sword and shield, and fly up to them, suddenly I'm filled with courage, I slash everything in my way. Every time a shadow falls a piece of my past comes back to me in my head. I see a tree, and a man sitting under its shade, finding shelter from the gleaming sun, a leaf falls from the tree, complete silence, not even a sound, the grass around the man is growing, grass is sprouting from the soil, the man looks up, it's now raining, he smiles at the sky, as if thanking it. Deep sorrow fills the man's eyes. The memory fades, my sword find itself inside another shadow, I glance down, Rathnael's limp body lies beneath me, I blank out again. I see the tree again, this time there are three men next to it, two of them are completely identical, blonde hair, immaculate white eyes, the other one has black hair, and blue eyes, still looking as impressive as the other two. Words echoe in my head.
"Three brothers, at the beginning of time,"
First come the creator, abdicator to his own,
Second comes the serf, a servant to fate,
Third came the philosopher, who knew everything, but misused knowledge,
Nothing matters, Sorrow awaits for the first-born."
I lay huddled, crying in the midst of corpses, I sense Raphael approaching, "Brother..."
