Loss

Losing someone you love is really rough
Whether it is through death, disease or they have just had enough
You beg, you wish, you pray
For just one more night
That you can be held so tight

You cry everyday
And nothing seems to make it go away
As the pain grows stronger
The nights becomes longer

You see memories and pictures all over the place
Then the sadness comes to darken your face
Every step forward hurts more than the last
Because you are leaving your comfortable past

You feel like no one understands
While you try to battle lifes demands
Then you think was it me?
What did I not see?

You start to become wise
As you really open your eyes
They are not gone forever
As photo's and memories remain of you together

It was today I realised
I lost the most important thing in my life
My partner, my lover and my best friend

But for you my Lord my love and care will go on
As you my God are second to none.
