Completeness my only passion

If I linger but a while,
in constancy I would stay.
For passion burns within me.
You. My only point of desire,
that centre to which I reach,
that hope to fulfil
the growth of memories.
For nothing grows when
not fuelled but warmth and love,
that cannot endure the flames of hell.
Kindness not the cord
of wanton glee, just the knowledge
that your shelter is near by me.
Transform this world
in which I stand
hold out your harbour,
grab my hand,
and take it to the very
centre of your heart.
Question not it's future
but know its warmth
and wait not a moment longer
for in a an instance
you will know
the rightness of what you hold.
But test not its strength,
nor challenge its wealth,
nor seek its weakness,
but carry it to your own fire
and cherish its sweetness.
For in this living hell
we only take cautious steps,
least we drown in
our own sheltered abyss.
Know your life
to be at peace,
for you rest not alone
when what is offered
is nothing,
but a shared completeness.
